Confidence is not something that we need only in times of distress or fear. It is something that needs to be there irrespective of the surrounding environment. Yes, it helps when its utmost needed.
The first step towards building confidence is to build up a helpful attitude where we see ourselves as well as others as equals, failure as learning or lessons learnt, success as just another event and look for silver lining in every distress situation. I mean we need to be careful upon what we talk to ourselves as well as what we think about the overall situation at all times.
What we believe ultimately starts becoming our reality and it decides our actions or behavior.
Also one important suggestion i would like to state is do not get caught into comparison for anything and everything. You are YOU and others as OTHERS.
